Half Finished was inspired, loosely, by the sudden loss of my own father in 2012. My brother and I were sorting through items in his shed, and came across several of his projects that he'd been working on around the house and yard. My brother commented that now, none of us knew what these were going to be. They were going to be half finished forever. From that, the idea was stuck, waiting to be turned into a film.
Half Finished was well executed by a small cast and crew, and every audience this screened for connected with the themes of loss, regret, acceptance and healing. My own bit of bragging is that no matter where it screened, people were crying by the end, and the air was filled with that heavy silence that only moving performances can command.
