I led two student crews to create two documentaries about the opioid epidemic in rural Northern Kentucky (specifically, Owen and Carroll Counties). This was a grant funded project that was intended to bring attention to not only the epidemic itself, but also the work being done by Northern Kentucky University and on the ground volunteers to combat the challenges posed by addiction. 

This project was incredibly impactful, not just on the student crew and myself, but also because I was told that many referrals were received because of these videos -- and even one referral would have made the project worth it.
